A Return to Embodied Practice

In a culture that constantly pulls us out of our bodies, The Rose Room Yoga Teacher Training exists as a return. This training is not about performance, image, or identity - it’s about learning to listen: to sensation, breath, rhythm, and response. Through embodied practice and thoughtful study, students deepen their relationship with yoga and learn to guide movement and attention with awareness and responsibility.

About the Rose Room Yoga Teacher Training

The Rose Room 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training is an immersive, Yoga Alliance–certified, in-person Vinyasa training held in Sayulita, Mexico. Rooted in integrity, embodiment, and curiosity, it draws students who want to deepen their relationship with yoga - and those who feel called to teach from lived experience rather than performance. Led by Audra Stanley, Founder of The Rose Room, alongside a small team of experienced instructors, the training emphasizes intelligent alignment, anatomy-informed sequencing, and the responsibility that comes with guiding bodies, breath, and attention. Upon completion of both modules, graduates receive a Yoga Alliance–approved 200-hour certification, qualifying them to teach yoga internationally.

The Rose Room has been a trusted space for thoughtful, alignment-informed yoga education for years. Set in an open-air rooftop studio nestled into palm trees with ocean views, learning happens slowly and in relationship - through daily practice, study, conversation, and shared experience. This is not a fast-track certification or a performative training. It is a hands-on, meticulous education designed to support sustainable practice, thoughtful teaching, and a grounded way of being - on and off the mat.

Is This Training Right for You?

This training is likely a good fit if you:

  • Have an established Vinyasa practice and want to understand it more deeply

  • Are curious about alignment, anatomy, and why we move the way we do

  • Value listening over performing and presence over aesthetics

  • Want to learn how to guide movement with awareness and responsibility

  • Appreciate thoughtful structure while trusting intuition and lived experience

  • Are drawn to learning in a small, in-person group where you’ll be seen and supported

  • Feel called to teach yoga in a way that is grounded, thoughtful, and human - or simply want a more honest, sustainable relationship with the practice

Many students arrive wanting to deepen their personal practice and leave feeling unexpectedly called to teach - not because they were chasing the title, but because something clicked.

200-Hour Training Curriculum

The Rose Room 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training curriculum is organized around core learning pillars that integrate embodied practice, anatomy, philosophy, and real-world teaching skills. Graduates leave with the confidence to teach thoughtfully - or to practice with greater clarity, autonomy, and care.

1. Embodied Asana & Alignment

Explore foundational and advanced postures through an embodied lens, emphasizing functional alignment, sustainable movement, and an intimate understanding of how poses are built - from Tadasana to inversions and everything in between.

2. Intelligent Vinyasa Sequencing

Learn how to design intelligent, purposeful sequences that balance effort and ease. This includes understanding class themes, Surya A and B, posture families, transitions, and the energetic arc of a well-crafted Vinyasa class.

3. Yogic Philosophy in Practice

Engage with classical yogic philosophy as a lived experience rather than an abstract concept. Through study of foundational texts, ethical frameworks, and yogic principles, you’ll learn how philosophy informs modern practice, self-inquiry, and teaching.

4. Anatomy for Real Bodies

Study anatomy as a living, dynamic system rather than a fixed set of rules. You’ll explore the spine, pelvis, shoulders, nervous system, and connective tissue to better understand how different bodies move, adapt, and respond to practice.

5. Breath, Energy & Nervous System Awareness

Explore breathwork, meditation, and subtle body concepts through a grounded, accessible framework. You’ll study pranayama, the nervous system, and energetic anatomy to support regulation, awareness, and presence in both practice and teaching.

6. The Art & Responsibility of Teaching

Develop the skills and awareness required to teach with clarity, integrity, and care. This includes cueing, hands-on assisting, ethics, voice development, and learning how to guide students safely and responsibly in a group setting.

Meet Your Lead Trainer, Audra Stanley

Audra Stanley is the Founder of The Rose Room and lead trainer for the 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training. Her teaching is rooted in integrity, intelligent alignment, and deep respect for the body’s inherent wisdom.

She has completed over 1,000 hours of advanced training, studying extensively with teachers such as Annie Carpenter and Maty Ezraty, whose influence shaped her commitment to alignment-informed practice, thoughtful sequencing, and responsible teaching.

Audra teaches from lived experience - not performance. She is known for her clarity, warmth, humor, and ability to make complex information accessible without intimidation. Her work centers on helping students listen to their bodies, trust their intuition, and lead with care - on and off the mat.
